If you clicked over here then you might like to read my musings on Catholic faith and life on my other blog, Confidence and Love.
Here's a taste of what it's all about:
...mostly I am trying to live my life much more eloquently than I can write about it. Mostly I fail. I am often flummoxed by the simplest things; getting healthy meals on the table, matching up socks, keeping up with the laundry, keeping hold of my patience!Like? Then I would love to share some of my discoveries with you. And the most important is this:
I look to the saints of the Catholic Church for encouragement and advice. St Teresa of Avila said that anyone wanting to improve themselves should seek the company of people more advanced than themselves in virtue.
It is true. I look to the friends of God to see how I can be a better friend of God and a better person in general – kinder, more patient, more loving.
The Gospels, the Psalms and the letters of St Paul are the other lights of my life. Catholics are not known for their brilliance at Bible knowledge, and I am no exception to that rule! So I write here to try to know them better, too.
I just need encouragement, every day. St Paul told the early Christians to, exhort one another daily (Hebrews 3:13).
If you can gain some encouragement here with me, than I am very humbly grateful to God for allowing me to praise him in the assembly of the people (Psalm 107:32).
That nothing separates us from the love of God.
